Electric vehicles are greener than petrol engine vehicles -

electric vehicles are designed without nozzles because they give no emissions while traveling on the road. This makes them more environmentally friendly than gasoline vehicles. The statement is supported by a report from the Union of Concerned Scientists so if you take into consideration the production of the battery and its entire process, including recycling and disposal; Electric powered vehicles have a greenhouse impact than gasoline vehicles.

For the report, UCS compared two electric vehicles, Nissan Leaf and Tesla Model S with two gasoline vehicles, Ford Focus and Audi A8 all have weight and of similar size.

While electric vehicles do not give emissions while traveling on the road, however, the resources required for the lithium-ion battery and the source of the electricity used to recharge the car contributes to 'greenhouse effect.

According to the UCS study, the more power, the more range of vehicles, but also more weight added to the vehicle and the highest emissions from the manufacture of the battery. However, since electric vehicles are emission free while driving, therefore the amount of emissions they produce during production will be offset when they are used on the market. For example, the leaf drive as offset emissions by 400 miles of driving while the S model would take 19,000 miles. On average, there is a reduction of about 50 per cent of emissions compared to all gasoline vehicles throughout their life.

Unfortunately, there are still challenges for electric vehicles to be used on snow covered areas. However, if you live in the city area, you may consider the conduct of electric powered vehicles.
