Most car headlights are replaced with lasers instead of LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes) that lasers can be regarded as the brightest, whitest light and therefore they are better than LEDs. Besides that lasers can be directed where you want to go, in principle; lasers are more efficient than LEDs.

The unit Laser Matrix is the product of a three-year program sponsored by the Ministry of Education and Research of the Federal Germany whose partners include Audi with Bosch, OSRAM Licht AG Karlsruhe Institute of technology.
