Toyota Prius New Prime will feature Rear Window Aerodynamics -

Toyota put in a lot of interesting features in its latest Prius Premier as such it is surprising that these characteristics can be found in a mass market vehicle. For starters, the standard touchscreen in its interior is replaced by a 11.6-inch portrait display. The design is inspired by Tesla, who recently it is also implemented by Volvo in its new models. In addition to this there is also a heads-up color display (HUD) available inside Toyota Prius Prime.

The difference from the inside of Tesla and Toyota Toyota added some permanent buttons such as cabin temperature, the volume, the radio on / off buttons and similar features surrounding the screen touch. The choice to use permanent buttons instead of touch buttons is so that the driver does not have to play with the image change to do simple things such as reducing the volume. Unfortunately, however, the Prius Premium does not support Android Auto and carplay currently.

Regarding the exterior design, the first Prius has a slightly concave rear window which channels air over the wing. In addition to this there is a uniquely shaped window with a new grille shutters that close automatically when the radiator is not used. All these models are implemented to reduce drag and wind noise, and preventing unwanted lift forces when driving at high speeds.

Prime Prius will be available in showrooms this fall and it offers 22 miles of electric or 0 miles on hybrid mode.
