Apple carplay review your Car Infotainment System -

carplay Apple is Apple's solution for a safer way to use your iPhone while driving. It is integrated into the infotainment system of the existing vehicle and gives the driver quick access to navigation, music, messaging, phone calls and more without the driver to watch the phone.

To use Apple carplay is very easy. You just need to plug in your iPhone and press the carplay icon that appears on the screen of your dashboard. The screen will be filled with familiar icons similar to the icons on your iOS. Tap the application you want and return to the main menu, press the lower left corner of the screen is the key to the house or if you press long enough, Siri will be launched.

Apple encourages you use Siri instead of clicking on the touch screen for navigation. Surprisingly, Siri Dictation is often accurate, which is convenient for you to read or send text messages while driving. However, Siri does not support third party applications such as Spotify.

To be honest, there are many things that carplay does not support. It does not support third-party email applications beyond text messages or iMessages, notifications such as email, Snaps or Tweets that's a good thing that the driver does not need to do all this and focus on the road. In addition to this, also carplay does not support native functions in the car such as the climate or the performance parameters that, according to Apple, the feature will be added in iOS 9.

Moreover, Apple carplay supports Apple Maps. However, compared to Google Maps, it still has a long way to go. Traffic information is not updated as often as Google Maps; navigation is slower and more difficult to use than Google Maps.

Despite all these complaints, Apple carplay is definitely better than any other interface on a lot of cars. Chevrolet will be the first automotive manufacturers to enable carplay across its range.
