Like other automakers are already testing their autonomous vehicles or semi complete self on the street, as Google has been testing its autonomous cars on the streets of California, France also wants the industry to play a major role in this, or maybe even better. Therefore, to bring this vision, France announced its future industrial strategy known as New France Industrial (NFI), making it a fast development project autonomous cars that will ultimately consolidated into a coherent basic framework.
In order to support, France is also coming with the ecological transition law which comes into force on August 18 e . It allows the government to take a year via an order to allow the movement of vehicles on public roads with the total or partial delegation of conduct for experimental purposes. This would mean that France will allow autonomous vehicles to circulate and be tested on a particular network and must be supervised by technicians and they should be able to handle the car at any time.
French car industry itself such as Peugeot and Citroën (PSA) and Renault have developed technologies that enable automatic overflow, adapts the speed limit, following signs or path route without human intervention, delegates driving in traffic or self-parking the vehicle. They plan to market these in the coming years.
