Cardroid promises to make your old car smarter. Unfortunately, it is based on Android OS only so iOS users may not be able to use it. It adds many new features on your car. It is able to analyze driver behavior on the road, receive emergency notifications, protect the car against theft, check the data of the vehicle and save money on fuel and insurance company.
To use Cardroid is very simple. You just need to plug into the OBDII port of your car and it will analyze the data on vehicles and monitor driver behavior and send it to an account of personal cloud. It also comes with GPS technology that will keep track the location of your car. The device also works with Wi-Fi if you have lost GPS signal. Therefore, in the case where an accident occurs it will send an alert to other people and other people just need to log into the account of the clouds and the person will know your last position before accident so he or she can do something about it. ie to call the ambulance.
Cardroid was looking for donors to Kickstarter with funding from the crowd. Fortunately, they found enough supporters as such the project was launched. The device was created by the people of UonMap. It is an invitation posted on its Kickstarter page for donors to visit their stand personally CES2016 in Las Vegas, NV, USA. They will be there from January 6 to 9, 2016 at booth 80946, Eureka Park.
