Peugeot is rumored to be working on a new concept of electric vehicle known as the fractal name. Based on early reports, the design will be a small 2-door coupe which the company plans to make weighs just 1000 kg (2205 lb) and should be able to travel within 280 miles (450 km) on a expected battery pack capacity of 30 kWh.
for comparison 2016 Nissan LEAF is to have a 30 KWh battery with its range should be about 110 miles. To achieve this goal, the company plans to develop a dual-technology engine, hoping to improve the overall efficiency all-wheel drive.
Another car manufacturer, Tesla is using an all-wheel drive dual motor technology for the S model and future model X. dual engine S model is reported to reach 5% better range than the rear wheel drive versions. FRACTAL will be developed based on similar technology, but it seems that the goal of 280 miles always seems to be unrealistic.
As for the interior, FRACTAL is designed with the concept of Peugeot i -Cockpit that puts more emphasis on the acoustic performance. Peugeot currently sells Peugeot iOn is renamed Mitsubishi i-MiEV.
